“process” attribute

•July 9, 2008 • 1 Comment

The “process” attribute defines the ids of the components to be processed together with the
component which contains this attribute. In order to define processed components you could set
theirs ids into the value of the “process” attribute.
The “process” attribute has two limitations:
• it works only if “ajaxSingle” equals to “true” for given command component
• you do not have to point this attribute to one of the own parent components to avoid processing
of command component twice

<body>
<f:view>
<h:form>
<h:inputText id=”oneA” value=”#{bean.tf1}”/>
<br/>
<h:inputText id=”oneB” value=”#{bean.tf2}”/>
<br/>
<a4j:commandButton value=”Submit2″ process=”oneB” ajaxSingle=”true”
reRender=”three1, three2″/>
<br/>
one : <h:outputText id=”three1″ value=”#{bean.tf1}”/>
<br/>
two : <h:outputText id=”three2″ value=”#{bean.tf2}”/>
</h:form>
</f:view>
</body>

a4j:status – The Status Tag

•July 8, 2008 • Leave a Comment

The Status Tag can be used as a kind of Indication to the Client about the current Status of the Request, like whether the Request is still being processed by the Server or the Request has been served.

<body>
<f:view>
<h:form>
<h:inputText value=”#{bean.text}”>
<a4j:support event=”onkeyup” ajaxSingle=”true”></a4j:support>
<a4j:status startText = “S” stopText = “R”></a4j:status>
</h:inputText>
<br />
</h:form>
</f:view>
</body>

“ajaxSingle” attribute

•July 8, 2008 • Leave a Comment

When “ajaxSingle” attribute value is “true”, it orders to include only a value of the current
component (along with <f:param> or <a4j:action> param values if any) to the request map. In
case of <a4j:support> , it is a value of the parent component.

<h:form>
<h:inputText value=”#{person.name}”>
<a4j:support event=”onkeyup” reRender=”test” ajaxSingle=”true”/>
</h:inputText>
<h:inputText value=”#{person.middleName}”/>
</form>

ajaxRendered VS reRender

•July 7, 2008 • 1 Comment

<a4j:outputPanel ajaxRendered=”true”>
<h:messages />
</a4j:outputPanel>

“limitToList” attribute allows to dismiss the behavior of the <a4j:outputPanel> “ajaxRendered”
attribute. “limitToList” = “false” means to update only the area(s) that mentioned in the “reRender”
attribute explicitly. All output panels with “ajaxRendered”=”true”is ignored. An example is placed
below:

<h:form>
<h:inputText value=”#{person.name}”>
<a4j:support event=”onkeyup” reRender=”test” limitToList=”true”/>
</h:inputText>
<h:outputText value=”#{person.name}” id=”test”/>
</form>

The Kingdom

When a terrorist bomb detonates inside a Western housing compound in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, an international incident is ignited. While diplomats slowly debate equations of territorialism, FBI Special Agent Ronald Fleury quickly assembles an elite team and negotiates a secret five-day trip into Saudi Arabia to locate the madman behind the bombing. Upon landing in the desert kingdom, however, Fleury and his team discover Saudi authorities suspicious and unwelcoming of American interlopers into what they consider a local matter. Hamstrung by protocol-and with the clock ticking on their five days-the FBI agents find their expertise worthless without the trust of their Saudi counterparts, who want to locate the terrorist in their homeland on their own terms. Fleury’s crew finds a like-minded partner in Saudi Colonel Al-Ghazi, who helps them navigate royal politics and unlock the secrets of the crime scene and the workings of an extremist cell bent on further destruction. With these unlikely allies sharing a propulsive commitment to crack the case, the team is led to the killer’s front door in a blistering do-or-die confrontation. Now in a fight for their own lives, strangers united by one mission won’t stop until justice is found in The Kingdom.

How To Create MSN ID

•February 19, 2008 • 1 Comment

I get this question often enough that I’m convinced I must be missing something. Is there some kind of status or prestige associated with msn.com? Is there something else you can do with an msn.com email address that you can’t with hotmail.com?

Honestly, I just don’t get it.

Maybe someone will educate me.

https://accountservices.passport.net/reg.srf?ns=msn.com&sl=1&lc=1033 which does, indeed, appear to allow anyone to create an @msn.com address.
