Sam Bowden is a womanizing lawyer who has cheated on his burnt out, bitter wife Leigh Bowden. Sam, Leigh, and their 15 year old daughter Danielle have moved to a backwater Florida town for a new start, but Sam is already showing signs of fooling around with his clerk, 16 year old Lori Davis. Meanwhile, Leigh broods at home, venting her bitterness on Danielle. But Sam’s unfaithfulness becomes the least of Leigh’s worries. Years ago, as a public defender, Sam had a client named Max Cady, who was accused of brutalizing a teenage girl. Sam put up a lousy defense for Max after discovering that Max was guilty of brutalizing the girl. Now, 14 years later, Cady has been released from prison and he’s hungry for revenge on Sam, having spent his sentence making himself well-read in philosophy and literature. Cady’s plan is to destroy Sam’s career and family. Cady fatally poisons the family dog, brutalizes Lori, and comes close to getting Danielle to sympathize with him, successfully goading Sam into violence. Sam has Lieutenant Eigert, of the local police department, try to harass Cady into leaving town, hires sleazy private eye Claude Kersek to have Cady beaten up, and offers Cady money to simply go away. When all that fails, Sam uses his family as bait to lure Cady into his house while Kersek is guarding the place. It ends up as a bloody mess when Cady sneaks in and kills Kersek. This prompts the Bowdens to leave the house, with Cady following them all the way to the Bowden houseboat for a confrontation on the Cape Fear River in North Carolina.

Taking its lead from Jonathan Demme’s Oscar-winning pulse-raiser The Silence of the Lambs, Copycat strives for intelligence over gristle and carnage. It’s a terse, involving thriller that swings away from the usual cinematic notion of violence as a means to an end by forgoing brawn for brains. Young San Francisco police inspector Ruben Goetz (Dermot Mulroney) is teamed with brilliant force vet, M.J. Monahan (Holly Hunter), a diplomatic, no-nonsense cop who must buck the system in order to find a killer who is copycatting the crimes of history’s most notorious serial killers. Ruben would rather shoot to kill than merely wound a suspect; Monahan labors to help him think more diplomatically. Everything changes when crank calls arrive at the station from serial -killer pin-up girl psychiatrist Helen Hudson (Sigourney Weaver). She’s been housebound for 13 months, ever since murderer Daryll Lee Cullum (Harry Connick Jr.) nearly made her his next victim because she testified against him in court. Though he’s in prison, he’s still mentor and muse to every loose cannon walking the streets–one of whom is killing people with a vengeance and hoping to finish the job Cullum began. Cop and doc team up to solve the case in this stylish, plot-driven movie. Though Copycat loses steam in the end, it still makes a point. And it serves as a cautionary tale for people everywhere, tossing in street smart warnings against victimization. The teaming of Hunter and Weaver works well, the short and the tall forging a terrific and frictioned relationship that leads to grudging respect. Establishing an ominous atmosphere reminiscent of his classic British TV miniseries The Singing Detective, director Jon Amiel has an eye for the dark and the unusual and it gives this film an edge that eludes most other mainstream filmmakers.

A dark tale based on the true story of Aileen Wuornos, one of America’s first female serial killers. Wuornos had a difficult and cruel childhood plagued by abuse and drug use in Michigan. She became a prostitute by the age of thirteen, the same year she became pregnant. She eventually moved to Florida where she began earning a living as a highway prostitute–servicing the desires of semi-truck drivers. The tale focuses on the nine month period between 1989 and 1990, during which Wuornos had a lesbian relationship with a woman named Selby. And during that very same time, she also began murdering any of her clientele who attempted to rape her. This turned the tables on a rather common phenomena of female highway prostitutes being the victims of serial killers–instead Wuornos, herself, carried out the deeds of a cold-blooded killer.

When a terrorist bomb detonates inside a Western housing compound in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, an international incident is ignited. While diplomats slowly debate equations of territorialism, FBI Special Agent Ronald Fleury quickly assembles an elite team and negotiates a secret five-day trip into Saudi Arabia to locate the madman behind the bombing. Upon landing in the desert kingdom, however, Fleury and his team discover Saudi authorities suspicious and unwelcoming of American interlopers into what they consider a local matter. Hamstrung by protocol-and with the clock ticking on their five days-the FBI agents find their expertise worthless without the trust of their Saudi counterparts, who want to locate the terrorist in their homeland on their own terms. Fleury’s crew finds a like-minded partner in Saudi Colonel Al-Ghazi, who helps them navigate royal politics and unlock the secrets of the crime scene and the workings of an extremist cell bent on further destruction. With these unlikely allies sharing a propulsive commitment to crack the case, the team is led to the killer’s front door in a blistering do-or-die confrontation. Now in a fight for their own lives, strangers united by one mission won’t stop until justice is found in The Kingdom.

The Forbidden Kingdom (Chinese: 功夫之王) is a 2008 Hollywood martial arts-adventure film directed by Rob Minkoff. It is the first film starring together two of the most well-known names in the martial arts film genre, Jackie Chan and Jet Li. The action sequences were choreographed by Yuen Woo-ping. Filming was completed on August 24, 2007, and it went into post-production on September 29. The film was given the working title, The J & J Project, before being officially titled The Forbidden Kingdom in April of 2007. The movie has distribution in the United States through Lionsgate and The Weinstein Company. The Huayi Brothers Film & Taihe Investment Company is distributing in the People’s Republic of China.

While the character Sun Wukong came from Wu Cheng’en’s famous classical novel Journey to the West, in an interview with Screen Power magazine, actor Collin Chou denied that the plotline will be related to the novel. The details of the plot were devised by screenwriter John Fusco along with actor Jet Li. Li explains,
“The screenwriter is a good friend of mine and we have been sparring partners for the past three years. I was among the first to get hold of the story and later we were joined by Jackie and others. The screenwriter and I discussed how to turn the story into a fantasy and dream-like film. He is a superb screenwriter and has been learning Chinese martial arts for more than 10 years. He has roughly put across in the film some of my basic understanding of martial arts and principles of Buddhism.”

In a behind the scenes article he wrote for Kung Fu Magazine, screen writer John Fusco stated he derived the surname for the Jason Tripitikas character from “the wandering monk, Tripitika, from JOURNEY TO THE WEST.”

Production began in early May 2007 in the area around the Gobi Desert in China. Before filming began, the entire cast did a costume fitting and a script read through, certain dialogues were altered to suit the different actors’ English speaking abilities; this was due to the majority of the cast having English as their second language. Chan described the first day of shooting as “very relaxing” because the shots only required drama and walking, with no action. When the two martial arts veterans (Chan and Li) did film action scenes together for the first time, they both expressed how easy it was to work with one another. Chan explained:
“ I have not worked with someone whom I’m comfortable with, in terms of movements, rhythm and natural reactions, in the last 10 years. I have done many fight scenes with others but there were usually more than 10 takes, which is a waste of time as the person may forget his moves and unnecessary injuries. When I fought with Li, our actions were quick. We also didn’t have to do the same stunt over 20 times. ”

The fight choreographer was Yuen Woo-ping. Yuen and Chan had not worked together in over 15 years, the last time being when Yuen worked as one of the action directors on Twin Dragons. Filming continued at the Wuyi Mountains and at the Hengdian World Studios. Filming finished on August 24, 2007.

We have spent a nice day.

My friend Moin invited us to visit FRR brick field in Norshingdi. This place is of his grandfather. I have never seen a brick filed or how this thing is made in my life.

It was a hot day. We all gathered in Gulistan to catch bus to Norshingdi. There was rush, we waited to catch a empty bus. But there was none. Some how, we managed seat for all of us in the bus. And we started our short tour. in the middle of the journey there was a one hour break. Not for us !!! the bus had to take its fuel. They told us to switch bus. But we couldn’t manage room all 7 persons of us. So, we waited for the refuel. in the meantime we moved around and having fun. When we came near to the bus we saw a lot of people standing in front of the bus door. They r trying to switch in this bus from the last one. it was chaos. 6 of managed seat. One of us was standing. That was me :( . After 1 hour we reached vulta. From that place we had to take riksha. The funny thing is, Moin the inviter does not know the way. So, we came with some innovative idea. After while, we managed the address and reached the address. It was FRR brick field(Billal Shaheber Itakhola), beside Asian Highway. It was cool riding through through a riksha in huge road without any motor vehicle. Ater while, reached to the brick field. It was quite a big one. We had launch there, which was kacchi biriani. After having launch, went out for visiting the brick field. We went inside of it. Workers were placing raw brick, which will burn by burning coal. There was a pattern of placing bricks. There were rooms between the bricks. So, that heat/fire can reach to every part of it. Then we went upper side of it. where workers were throwing hot burning coals in a hole. In fect there were several holes. When i looked through the hole i felt tremendous heat in my face. Inside the hole there was a lot of brick was burning and all of them were colored extremely red for heat. After moving around the brick field we went to Moin’s grandfather’s home. It was second time i went there. It was 20-30 minutes walking distance from the brick field. It was a old home. There was a pond in front of the house. we spent some time there. Then we met some of Moin’s relatives. Then started for local market. it was evening. We had some drinks. He spent some time setting road side singing, gossiping. It was dark. Then we started for Dhaka, in the same way we came. When we were getting beck from the brick field, Moin’s uncle donated 500 bucks for us. we decided to go to ghoiroa to have some khichuri. After that we went back home. It was lovely sending time with friends. The characters in this mini tour was me, Sultan, Moin, Nazmul, Shoyeb, Nafees and Hira.

The film draws from Bringing Down the House, the best-selling book by Ben Mezrich.

Ben Campbell is an MIT senior who applies for a full scholarship to Harvard Medical School. The Harvard official administering the scholarship tells him that Ben’s application essay must “dazzle” him if he is to win it. In his non-linear equations class, Ben impresses his professor, Mickey Rosa, who invites him an after-hours card counting session, the members of which travel to Las Vegas every weekend and count cards to win money which they split between each other. After some persuasion, Ben joins the team on the circumstance that he will quit when he makes $300,000, the amount he needs for medical school. Life then gets complicated for Ben; every weekend he is in Las Vegas, and ignores and lies to his friends and family. He starts to drift away from his friends and is forced to stop working on a prized ‘209′ robotic project with his friends. After one night of losing a massive amount of money, Mickey and Ben part ways. Ben decides to take over the team and Mickey reports them to casino security. After being caught and beaten by Cole Williams (Laurence Fishburne) of the casino security team, Ben returns to MIT and asks Mickey to rejoin the team to make back his money. Ben’s plan is to trick Mickey as revenge for stealing his savings from his dorm room, and Mickey is caught by casino security while Ben is let off the hook. Ben pays off casino security with that night’s winnings, returns to MIT and “dazzles” the Harvard dean with his Las Vegas adventures.
